Volunteering

Volunteers are essential to implementation of many of our projects, and make a major contribution to many other aspects of our work. Our effectiveness in terms of gathering and collating information and undertaking much of the practical work which we need to tackle (from rat eradication to clearance of marine litter on beaches) would be greatly reduced without the help of our many volunteers and supporters.

To help us match jobs to be done with the skills and availability of those offering to help us we have a volunteer register. This is a list of people we can contact when a need for volunteers comes up. This helps us to target projects for available volunteers, use people more efficiently and make sure everyone who is interested gets an opportunity.

Note to Prospective Volunteers for 2009/10 Field Season (October 2001 - March 2011)
Thank you for your interest in assisting Falklands Conservation with our biodiversity monitoring programme and other projects. For the first time in many years we have been able to fill our volunteer needs locally. Unfortunately, this means we will not be able to place any international volunteers for the 2010-11 field season. Please keep an eye on this space for future opportunities.

Registering as a volunteer does not commit you in any way but enables us to note your interest.
