Prince Charles Joins Falklands Conservation

Following the recent visit of the Prince of Wales to the Falkland Islands, and his obvious enchantment with the wildlife and stunning scenery, we are delighted to annouce that the Prince has accepted an invitation to become an honorary member of Falklands Conservation. The offer was made just prior to the Prince's arrival in the Islands, and was formally accepted by his Private Secretary in a letter from St James's Palace on 11th May.

The Prince's decision to become a member makes him the second eminent Royal connected to our charity, the first being HRH Prince Andrew, Duke of York, who formally accepted the patronage of Falklands Conservation in June 1992.

Falklands Conservation has nearly 500 members in total, with over 300 in the UK and overseas and more than 150 local members in the Falkland Islands.
