Cat Island Nature Reserve

Cat Island (3 Ha, 7 acres)
This nature reserve was purchased by Falklands Conservation in 1985.

It is a small island lying 5km NNE of North West Island and 1.5km off the coast of Wreck Point North, East Falkland. The Island is generally low lying with a low coastline. It is covered with fairly dense tussac of medium height. The Island is not known to have been stocked.
